Arts Resource Grants

Assisting arts curriculum programs in acquiring essential instruments, equipment, supplies and funding for performances, exhibitions, learning experiences and group training.

Qualifications

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants are PreK-12th grade public school arts curriculum programs. The application may be submitted by the instructor, program administrator, fine arts coordinator, principal or a representative of the school district that teaches or administers the program or curriculum.
Eligible programs must be in a public school within Montgomery, Harris, Liberty, Chambers, Galveston, Brazoria, Fort Bend, Austin, Waller, Grimes, Walker or San Jacinto County. Active charter schools approved by the TEA are also eligible for this grant.
Applicant programs may only receive one grant per school year.
Activities Eligible for Grant Funding

Grant requests may not exceed $20,000.
An eligible purchase may only occur after approval of a grant application.
An eligible purchase will be for instruments, music, supplies, equipment, licenses, training, masterclasses, art experiences or other items related to the arts curriculum that will improve and contribute to quality instruction or the student experience in the arts.
The application must state an estimated delivery date or acquisition date for a purchase funded by this grant.
Grant funding may be paid to schools, school districts, school art curriculum programs or 501(c)(3) nonprofit booster/support organizations related to eligible applicants.
