If you've been around The Pavilion in the past year, you've heard about Moorhead Middle School Orchestra Director Tarvia Blackshear. In addition to 16 years of education experience, she is a remarkable innovator - always finding new ways to inspire and engage her students.
Many of those students wouldn't have been introduced to the arts if it weren't for a teacher like Tarvia.
That's why The Pavilion is so fully committed to investing in the arts educators in our community. We offer a number of different grants to meet the needs of these educators - Professional Development Grants to grow their skills, Resource Grants to put instruments in hands, Travel Grants to make performances possible.
Unsurprisingly, Tarvia has taken advantage of all three.
